A Bluey-themed 3rd Birthday

This was probably the most anticipated party I’ve planned yet, only because my older (more experienced) kids seeded the idea in my little one’s head. My youngest is obsessed with Bluey, and maybe only a couple months after she turned two, her siblings said, “You can have a Bluey birthday!” And ever since, she’s been talking about her Bluey birthday, despite not really knowing what a birthday even is. 😆

Thankfully, because she had in mind that it just was going to be what it was, I had plenty of runway to plan, unlike my older ones who often change their mind about what they like on a monthly basis.

I really wanted a character moment at her party, as it was so sweet watching her meet many of the Disney characters when we went to Disneyland last year. Even if it meant my husband would have to dress up himself, we would make it happen. With the growth in popularity of Bluey, I was excited to find that a couple of the character entertainment companies finally added a Bluey to their mix! (It wasn’t available even a year ago).

Since she’s so little and doesn’t really understand the concept of birthdays yet, I kept it simple for the most part. We simply got a bounce house (she just loves these at events we attend) and left the activities up to what Bluey would do. The main part to customize was the decor and the food, since my poor little one has a pretty severe egg and nut allergy.

Luckily, we found a local baker who could make vegan items, so I commissioned them to make a simple ombre patterned cake and some cake pops in line with the theme. I found a really sweet vendor on Etsy who was willing to make her Bluey cookies egg-free.

The cake topper was made by this talented vendor on Etsy!
I purchased these straws from Amazon and printed the Bluey characters on cardstock using my Cricut.

For the other snacks, I just looked up what Bluey-themed options were available. Luckily, there are lots of Bluey-licensed items out there, and I was able to purchase these Bluey fruit snacks, Bluey granola bars and cookies, and these Bluey yogurts! And we made egg-free butter pasta, her favorite food.

So many Bluey licensed products…fruit snacks, granola and mini cookies, and yogurts!

I also found these little dog paws on Amazon, and ended up making my own printable birthday banner.

For the party favors, I saw a version of this “Sleepytime” favor on Etsy and decided to make it myself! I purchased the stars off Amazon, made my own little card, and split it among the kids that would be coming. I also made the stickers with my Cricut.

Here are some highlights from the party!
